Jesus comes to the Pool of Siloam, only to find that there is a man whom the Pool has been unable to heal. This is because the system itself is flawed. However, lest we think that God doesn’t care about this man and others like him (who are truly in need of help), Jesus intervenes, achieving in a few short words what the Pool had not been able to achieve in 38 years. Jesus reveals to us a God who loves others so much, that he does things which seem unlawful. In this case, breaking the Sabbath, but ultimately, by being hung on a Cross.
